Climate: Bhutan's climate is as varied as its altitudes and, like most of Asia, is affected by monsoons. Western Bhutan is particularly affected by monsoons that bring between 60 and 90 percent of the region's rainfall. The climate is humid and subtropical in the southern plains and foothills, temperate in the inner Himalayan valleys of the southern and central regions, and cold in the north, with year-round snow on the main Himalayan summits.

By RailBhutan Rail Connectivity The nearest Railways Station is Hasimara is located on the National Highway 31 between Siliguri and Guwahati. Dist Jalpaiguri, State: West Bengal, India, 20 km from Phuntsholing (Bhutan) which is connected to by road.

Bus ServiceCar Rental Service are avilable from rail station it is a 30 min ride. By Road Bhutan Road Connectivity The Bhutan Government Transport Authority provide a direct bus service from Kolkata (Calcutta) to Phuentsholing, the buses are starting from Esplanade Bus Stand at 7PM on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and return from Phuentsholing office of Bhutan at 3PM on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The buses to reach Bhutan take around 18 hours and costs 300Rps/Nu. From Siliguri. There are two routes. The first option is via Sevok Coronation Bridge and the other goes through Alipurduar and Hasimara. which forms part of the main Siliguri to Guwahati Highway. The Bhutan Government Transport Authority provides bus service from Siliguri on Hill Cart Road at 7:30AM and 1:30PM everyday. Tickets are available in the bus stand.

All the immigration check posts and the offices at the port of entries are open 365 days; however the Regional Offices and the head office in Thimphu remain open only during the working days.
